Fire Razes Ebenebe Mobile Hospital



www.odogwublog.com reports that Mobile Hospital Ebenebe, in Awka North Local Government Area has been gutted by Fire.
The community hospital founded in 1989 with the collaboration of Chief Joe Nwegwu, a German Medical Practitioner Dr Eugene JungJohann, and the Hedwig and Robert Samuel Foundation built to provide standard and affordable healthcare, went up in flames in a yet to be ascertained circumstances.

The Hospital before the incident, was serving Ebenebe, it's neighbouring communities and other towns in nearby Enugu State.

According to an eyewitness and Manager of the hospital, Mr Titus Madu the fire commenced around three o'clock in the evening and continued into the night.

In a similar account, The Chief Executive Director of the Hospital and Traditional Prime Minister of Ebenebe, Chief Joe Nwegwu said the fire within minutes spread throughout the hospital and could not respond to efforts of the State Fire Service who were on hand to avert the disaster.

On closer observation, the Officer-in-charge of Fire Prevention, Mr Chukwuemeka Akpagu who was on hand to take a first-hand information on the cause of the fire, attributed it to bush burning and urged communities to take stiffer measures to stop people who engages in the unholy act, which according to him accounts for ninety percent of fire disasters across the State.

Fire incident had before now  razed Community Secondary School Ebenebe.
