Archbishop Chukwuma leads Christians to war against herdsmen

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Anglican Bishop of Enugu Diocese Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has condemned incessant killings across the country by the people believed to be Fulani herdsmen.
Bishop Chukwuma made the call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Onitsha during a Thanksgiving Service, held in honour of the senator representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone, Sen. Stella Oduah.
The Anglican cleric called on the Federal Government to check the activities of Fulani herdsmen, while also calling on Nigerians to be prepared to defend themselves.
Chukwuma made reference to the recent Benue State crisis, where herdsmen were believed to have murdered many.
He condemned the act, saying it was, `ungodly, evil and punishable by God’.
``I advise Nigerians to be vigilant and to be prepared to defend themselves. I call on the Federal Government to look into this serious issue,’’ Chukwuma added.
A member representing Ogbaru II constituency, in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Benson Nwawulu said Nigeria was sitting on `a keg of gun powder’, waiting to explode.
Nwawulu, who described Sen. Oduah as a worthy ambassador said she has proved herself as a distinguished representative of her people. ##
