“My landlord saw the thief rolling out the motorcycle from inside the compound around 7:30 pm and asked him who he was and where he was going with the bike. He claimed to be my relative that just visited, saying that I sent him on an errand with the motorcycle. He started the bike mysteriously in front of my Landlord and revved the Engine and that satisfied the curiosity of my Landlord. On hearing the sound of the motorcycle from inside my room, I rushed out of my room and started heading towards the gate. I saw the robber disappear into the night with the motorcycle towards Obosi Road. I summoned courage and started racing towards the sound of the motorcycle on foot. Luckily for me, the motorcycle engine suddenly quenched bringing it to a halt. When the robber saw that I was pursing him, he abandoned the motorcycle and took to his heels”.

Some stone being hauled towards the thief really injured me”, he said.

Thank God that I did not have to pay or explain to the owner supposing the motorcycle was lost”, Onyebuchi said.
