PRESIDENCY!!! BUHARI SAYS HE IS PLEASED WITH 2017 BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION…

 

Christian Rowland writing for ODOGWU MEDIA...from Abuja  President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, expressed satisfaction  with the performance of the N7.441 trillion 2017 budget thus far.

The president, on Monday, resumed work at his office at the new Banquet Hall at the Presidential Villa.

The President, who had last week worked from his residence due to renovation work going on in his office, received briefing on state of economy from the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma, Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, on the state of the economy.

The Presidential Banquet Hall was built by the Goodluck Jonathan administration at the cost of N2.2 billion.

The edifice houses a big hall where the President holds meetings  with federal lawmakers and political bigwigs among.

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in a statement said the president declared that he was pleased with the progress being made on different fronts.

“The Ministers and CBN Governor updated the President on the improving state of the economy, implementation of the 2017 Budget, preparation for the 2018 Budget, revenue strategies, combined cost reduction and debt management.

“Also discussed were monetary policy strategies and their economic impact, among others.

“President Buhari, while reminding the Ministers and CBN Governor that reviving the economy was one of the major planks on which the campaign of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), was based, expressed gladness that things were looking up after two years of yeoman’s job
