www.odogwublog.com reports that former member of the House of Representatives and
Commissioner for Environment in Anambra state during Governor Chris Ngige’s
era, Engr. Sir Chris Okey Enemuo, PhD has been kidnapped.
Enemuo was who picked his expression of interest form
to contest for the November Governorship election under the Labour Party (LP)
July 28th was kidnapped somewhere at Udi, Enugu state.
Dr Enemuo from Ekwulobia , Aguata council area had
addressed Pentecostals at Uga community returned to his village, discharged his
PA and supporters, changed car. He drove himself when the incident happened.
His people were informed at his kidnap by yet to be identified
number and the kidnap has been reported to Anambra Anti cult and kidnapping
squad and Enugu state police command.
According to Chairman Anambra Unite, Chief Sir Tony
Chigbo , Enemuo was kidnapped between 6:30 and 7:00 pm along the Udi Enugu road
as he left Ekwulobia by 6:00 pm.
He said Enemuo’s kidnappers have not contacted the
family or demanded any ransom.
The Anambra state police command PPRO, Nkiru Nwode’s
phone not connecting at press time but a source in the command not permitted to
speak to the media confirmed the report was made to the police and
investigations already on.
