Chief Nduka Eya kidnapped , N15 million ransom demanded


www.odogwublog.com reports that kidnapping has returned to Enugu state with the state police command  confirming the kidnap of Chief Nduka Eya, former commissioner of Education in the old Anambra state.

Eya also held several other positions in the civil service before his retirement. He is currently a chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and lives at Ezillo street, Independence layout axis of Enugu metropolis.

The Enugu state police public relations officer, PPRO,Mr Ebere Amaraizu said the police have commenced investigations on the matter but gave no details.

The kidnappers sneaked into his residence, met him while he was dinning and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

His wife, Prof. Regina Eya said she was taking her bath at the time the gunmen sneaked into their house. She said her husband did not demonstrate any form of resistance but followed them quietly.

She said the  kidnappers were demanding a fifteen million naira (N15Million) ransom. Attempt to see if any body or the kidnappers will pick Chief Nduka Eya's usual GSM phone number before filing this report did not yield any positive result, as it responded 'switched off.
