Stop comparing Kanu with God, IPOB warns

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB) has warned those  ascribing to its leader, Nnamdi Kanu the names and attributes of Jesus Christ to retrace their steps, saying the mischief is aimed at pitching  him against Christians.
IPOB dissociated Kanu from the  use of his name on the social media as " Jesus, Messiah, and Saviour" by some purported fans.
The pro- Biafra group accused the security agencies of sponsoring such action to portray Kanu as arrogating to himself the attributes of Christ so as to set him against Christians.
A press statement issued yesterday by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said Kanu at no time asked people to use such  titles for him as he is never equal to the son of God who alone can go by such names.
"We  have observed with great dismay over the purported plan by the DSS and some politicians to cause misunderstanding and confusion between the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Christians in Biafraland.
" Kanu the IPOB leader in his life never challenged the authority of God Almighty, or Jesus Christ the son of God. It is very pathetic that the enemies of Biafra, IPOB and  Kanu will use his name on Facebook and other social media platforms to cause disunity among the people of God and with Christian faithful.
" Nnamdi Kanu is a Christian and cannot blasphem God Almighty and his son Jesus Christ. Those using his name as savior, messiah and Jesus is misinformed and uneducated because he never asked them to do so."
IPOB, therefore, warned those behind such blasphemous action to desist forthwith or meet the wrath of God.
"It is the work of enemies planted within us by DSS and some politicians. Those involved in this ridiculous scandal and deformation of character will fail without delay and God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama must deal with them.
"Nnamdi Kanu  has warned everybody to stop using his name or comparing him with God Almighty because it is dangerous to compare him with God."
IPOB, therefore, enjoined Christians to disregard such misuse of his name, saying the perpetrators only want to cause disaffection among Kanu's teeming supporters and derail the agitation for Biafra.
According to IPOB, security agencies have continued strategise on how to discredit Kanu, diminish his growing popularity  and ultimately scuttle the struggles   for Biafra independence.
"Since the announcement for the election boycott in Anambra State, the Federal Government and their agents mapped out strategies to destroy and tarnish the image of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB in general."
IPOB said the call to boycott the November 18 Anambra Governorship election did not originate from Kanu but the people of the state who felt disenchanted about governance in Nigeria.
"The boycott of election in Anambra State was not the making of  Nnamdi Kanu, rather the wish of Eastern Nigeria and IPOB members who visited him in his home town Umuahia where the people told him that they don't need election again in Biafraland; and that they are ready to boycott election because since the creation of Nigeria they benefited nothing from Nigeria elections except killing, riots and humiliation from our politicians."
