Over 5,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state, yesterday met in Awka and set some rules that would assist its Governorship flag bearer emerge strong preparatory to taking over the seat of Power from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
PDP at the meeting at Marble Arch hotels Awka warned members who were already romancing with other political parties in the state to desist from such actions, or be ready to face sanctions.
Already the battle line is drawn between Mr Oseloka Obaze and Dr Alex Obiogbolu , both from Anambra North senatorial zone.
The State chairman of the party, Prince Ken Emeakayi who announced this  during a stakeholders' meeting, said such actions were instrumental to the failure of the party in the past to leverage on its popularity and win elective positions.
His words: "We shall not condone any person romancing or hobnobbing with the APGA, APC ,UPP or any other party in the state. Although we threw our doors open, that won't stop the party from wielding the big stick on any defaulter, including myself." he warned.
The party chairman also promised a N1million offer to party officials with the highest number of voters in each of the 326 wards in the state, ahead of the November 18 governorship election in the state.
The party has fixed August 10 for the commencement of voter  registration verification exercise at the ward levels.
He said the offer which would be shared among the 17 officials in the ward, was to motivate them to aggressively mobilize non PDP members to register with the party.
He also announced the sum of N500,000 and N300,000 for the wards with the second and third highest numbers of voters respectively.
The party boss urged them to go from house to house to ensure that all party members currently in the All progressives Grand alliance (APGA), All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties returned back to the party.
Hear him: "I now commission you by the powers conferred on me as the chairman of the party to go as fishers of men to fish out people for the party to enable us take what rightly belong to us. We must take back the government house which is our inheritance." he assured.
He described the protracted crises that rocked the party as necessary, saying it assisted in rebuilding, restructuring and re positioning the party both in the state and Nigeria at large.
He further disclosed that the ward congress will hold in all the 326 wards in the state on 8th and 10th of August respectively, where a 3-man delegate would be nominated to represent the state at the national convention of the party.
The meeting which was attended by party faithful across the state, including three governorship aspirants of the party, witnessed the unanimous endorsement of the National Chairman and Secretary of the Party, as well as other members of the National Working Committee.
He warned that any Aspirant who ignores the members of the party or refuses to embark on the tour of the 21 local government areas to meet with the party members can count himself out as an Aspirant as the person has lost immediately without primary election.
