Cazorla Suffers Another Injury Setback, May Not Play For Arsenal Again...

Here we go again did i hear you say, Arsenal’s new Abou Diaby has provided us with more bad news on his fitness. Santi Cazorla has revealed that he will be out on the sidelines for longer than expected.  Santi Cazorla would be missing the rest of the 2016/17 season, things have only seemingly got worse for the Spaniard.

Since November, Santi Cazorla has had eight operations on his Achilles, including one before the FA Cup final. It’s almost as if Santi Cazorla destiny doesn’t lie on the pitch anymore. The Spaniard has spent more time in the physio room than on the starting team sheet. To be precise, the Spaniard has been out for 252 days.

Despite only playing 23 times in the last two league campaigns combined, Arsenal offered the 32-year old a 1-year extension in January, which he signed. The Spaniard believes his return will at least be within the next 5 months, this means he won’t be ready for the start of the 2017/18 season. The performance of Per Mertesacker in the FA Cup final will remind Arsenal fans not to write off injury-prone players who are over 30. Meaning there’s still hope for the Spaniard and our 66% win ratio with him in the side speaks volume.

The Spaniard’s unrivalled dictating play skills are a necessity for Wengerball to be played at full capacity. His close control, varied pass selection and exceptional vision allow Arsenal to travel up the pitch at lightning speed, without him they’re always sluggish. Ever since his absence, creative duties have been placed on the shoulders of Mesut Özil both in the middle and final third, it’s too much.
Possible replacement for the former Malaga star could come in the form of;
