Anaocha Community Times Newspaper debuts ---as Obi, Umeh, Ekwunife, others snub event, Obiano attends

www.odogwublog.com reports barring any hitches, indigenes of Anaocha local government area now have a voice exclusively to air the views over socio-political cum religious and rural gossip, sequel to the berthing of a community newspaper ---Anaocha Community Times.
Already the maiden edition has been presented to the public at Neni Civic Center under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon Silas Ejeabocha, SA to Governor Willie Obiano on politics and former Leader of Anaocha Legislative council. Mr Chigozie Ebefu is the Editor and leader of the Publishing team.
Though retired Director General Lagos International Trade Fair, Chief Samuel Ezeakudo held brief before he eventually came. Comrade Ejidike Chidimma, a student activist at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Comrade Okwuchukwu Analike , national Leader , The Team That Works and Comrade Obiorah Mbah , Executive Member Agulu Peoples Union and the Anaocha Times newspaper Reviewer  among others were handy to support him.

Mr Ebefu had extended his invitation cards to prominent men and women of Anaocha but this Correspondent did not see Senator Uche Ekwunife, Mr Peter Obi, former Governor, Chief Victor Umeh, former National Chairman APGA, and all other shots including the House of Assembly members in Anaocha one and two constituencies. It was very humiliating that the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha council area rather than encourage the youth, rather threatened them to stop their intended publication. He was not at the event too and the President General of Neni, who even came to the venue probably his secretariat never entered the venue even when Ebefu ran to him twice or more.
It was indeed shameful that all the politicians in Anaocha council area nobody showed interest of any sort to encourage the Ebefu team yet they shout daily about youth empowerment but the good thing was the Newspaper has been presented and everybody who attended were in solidarity with the name Anaocha Community Times and urged them to be indeed a voice for Ndi Anaocha always without fear or favour.
The Newspaper Reviewer, Comrade Obiorah Mbah enjoined the publishing team led by Mr Chigozie Ebefu not to relent but pursue with vigour their ambition of educating Anaocha people with events and activities within Anaocha and that of Anaocha people residing outside Anaocha since the ten (10) communities in the council area is enough for good community newspaper to thrive.
Mbah challenged them to use the pages of the newspaper to champion growth, development and egalitarian society and shun all unethical practices in Mass Communication especially Libel. Mbah insisted that youths should henceforth be allowed to be leaders of today as the era of independent those who held sway were all under 35 years old except Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.
On his part, the representative of the Publishers and Editor of Anaocha Community Times, Mr Chigozie Ebefu who was excited that their efforts yielded fruits assured that the dream of providing alternative voice to Anaocha people will not die as the high, low and middle will have equal opportunities to use the medium for good of Anaocha people.

Ebefu said never before was a newspaper for the sole interest of Anaocha people came into existence and appealed for buy in into the project by the people of Anaocha.
Retired Director General of Lagos International Trade Fair, Chief Samuel Ezeakudo, while decrying the infighting between successful Anaocha politicians targeted at tearing the local government apart asked the elites and politicians to visit Idemmili and particularly Alor community to see how Engr Emeka Eze and Senator Chris Ngige reconciled after the bitter politicking era for the interest of Alor and Idemmili.
Chief Ezeakudo urged the political class to come together and champion the interest of Anaocha council area and mobilize youths positively for better Anaocha rather than for retrogressive tendencies. He however lampooned his association members comprising of retired Permanent Secretaries and big shots in civil service for not identifying with the event, even as he said his generation failed to be good roles models in grooming young generation and mentoring them, hence the shout on those opportune now not to make same mistake.

For comrade Ositadimma Iloghalu , Publisher and Youth Leader from Anaocha and Comrade Okwuchukwu Analike , National Leader , The Team That  Works ,the youths have taken ownership of the newspaper and would support it as it has a future to engage Anaocha youths , thus taking them away from the streets.
Later , Hon Silas Ejabocha , SA to Obiano on politics informed that Governor Willie Obiano’s programmes were in tandem with the Mr Ebefu and team’s mission and vision of establishing the first of its kind newspaper in Anaocha and promised to support the youths actualize their dreams of making the newspaper a household name in Anaocha.
He appealed to the team not to be daunted as from his observation the project is worth the brouhaha.
