Pope meets NFL Hall of Fame legends, promotes message of peace

On a special trip to Rome, pro football hall of famers met with Pope Francis in the Vatican Wednesday morning.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones -- who will be inducted to the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, in August -- traveled alongside six previous hall-of-famers including Curtis Martin, Ronnie Lott, and Franco Harris.

The pope is a long-time lover of “football” as it's known in Europe. In other words, soccer.
Pope Francis said “as many of you know, I am an avid follower of ‘football,’ but where I come from, the game is played very differently.”
