www.odogwublog.com reports that the Imo State police command today paraded a kidnap suspect ,Akachukwu Agu,34 and three other members of his gang,Chima Agujuo,20,Tochukwu Chima,27 and Desmond Akano,25 for allegedly abducting and raping an Owerri magistrate .
According to the State Police Commissioner,Chris Ezekiel who paraded 32 other suspects over various crimes ranging from robbery and child trafficking told newsmen that the police had rounded up the suspects at a forest in Avu,Owerri west Local Government Area of the state.
Akachukwu has confessed to the crime,however said that it was two out of the four man gang that raped the female magistrate. He said "let me tell you the truth,you are my fellow men,I actually raped her once with another of my gang here"
Answering what led him into kidnap business ,Akachukwu said "this is my first time of doing the business,i ventured into it because i have many children,seven of them "
He however pleaded for mercy promising never to engage in crime again if he was pardoned.
Items recovered from them include,a locally made pistol and a pump action rifle .
