Trouble in Imo community over rift between Assembly and Commissioner

www.odogwublog.com reports that palpable anxiety has engulfed Imo communities jostling for recognition as autonomous communities due to the clash of instructions emanating from the State House of Assembly and the state commissioner for Community Government Council, Hon Innocent Eke, over the creation of autonomous communities in the state.
Some community leaders who pleaded anonymity said the feud between the office of the Community Government Council and the Assembly committee on Autonomous communities and Chieftaincy Affairs has resulted in anxiety in the affected communities.
At the last plenary of the House, some lawmakers had warned that communities seeking autonomous status should not deal with Eke, saying the House has withdrawn his recognition as commissioner.
"As of today, nobody is  comfortable with this whole arrangement, this body will tell us that they are in charge and tomorrow another one will come to issue their own instructions. Yet we have spent so much for this process and we cannot abandon it midway lest our people attack us over fraud suspicion. We are all tired, please help us call them to order", they pleaded.
House committee Chairman on Autonomous Communities and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Arthur Egwim had complained about Mr Eke's activities, alleging that the Commissioner was sabotaging his committee's activities.
