Obiano’s boy, Hon. Tony Okigbo (Ilemmanuanwu) from Nri attacks Mr Godwin Ezeemo, says, is not fit to be Obiano’s deputy

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Special Assistant on Grassroots’ Mobilization and Enlightenment to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, Hon. Tony Okigbo, has gone mad with governorship aspirant of Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, Chief Godwin Ezeemo.

Hon Okigbo said the alleged discussions between Obiano and governorship aspirant of Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, Chief Godwin Ezeemo over deputy position was a figment of imagination by some job seekers working for the oppositions. 

He said the rumour mongers weren’t calculative and articulate in their conjecture due to the common fact that Ezeemo was not a member of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and that has rendered him unfit for such position.

 Briefing some journalists in Awka yesterday, Okigbo noted that Gov. Obiano already has a deputy that was doing well in discharge of his official duties and there are credible members who could as well be chosen if otherwise stated.

“Honestly speaking, Ezeemo is not competent for such job, even though he may have the wherewithal; the position still remains exclusively preserved for APGA members.
“Moreover, his dream to govern Anambra state may hit the rock due to Anambra people have made up their minds to allow who has been tested with governance and he delivered to further take the state to an enviable height in the next 4 years.” Okigbo stated.
He further said the endorsement by the people was predicated on the achievements made so far in rural and urban areas by the state government.
According to him, “ Obiano created the unprecedented community development programme primarily for those in rural areas to enjoy the democracy  dividends of the state and #20million was given to each of the 182 communities.
“The impact of the programme is so enormous to an extent some political adversaries felt that the Governor has stepped on Emperors’ shoes but their wrong impunity cannot debar further disbursement of same amount to communities in the month of June.
“However, Obiano made civil service a thing of comfort by paying workers’ salaries as and when due with other attendant appurtenances. On May day, he promised them another increment of their salaries immediately the state Annual Revenue Generation increases to #2.4billion.”
“Let it be on record that it is only this administration that has included people with disabilities in its cabinet while over 500 others are gainfully employed in the state civil service.”
Okigbo urged the electorates to make sure they are registered in this ongoing voter cards registration and advised them not to sell or give out voter cards to anybody or group of people because it would be a symbol of  constitutional duty to vote during elections.

Tony Oraeki, Awka
