Obiano gains ahead of Anambra 2017 as 300 dump APC, PDP, join APGA

www.odogwublog.com reports that ahead of the November 18 Governorship Election in Anambra State, about three hundred former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogbaru State Constituency I, Amambra State, Wednesday, decamped from their political parties and joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

 The ceremony which took place at the Okpoko Community Town Hall in Ogbaru LGA of the state attracted members of APGA from the LGA and beyond, members of the state exco of the party, traders, youth organizations, among others.

 Receiving the decampees, the APGA chairman in Ogbaru council area, Hon. Nnamdi Ifeka, described their decision as timely, adding that they have taken the right decision to have joined the ruling party.

 While decorating them with APGA uniform, he told the new entrants that henceforth, they would enjoy full right of an APGA member and urged them to contribute their quota towards ensuring that Governor Obiano is re-elected on November 18, 2017.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Prince Chika Odumegwu and Hon. Achike Jerry,  said that
 good governance under Obiano as well as his the strides of the Obiano government in security, education, civil service welfare, and infrastructural development informed their decision to join APGA. They pledged to join force to deliver APGA in Ogbaru LGA.

 In his remarks, member of the state House of Assembly representing Ogbaru Constituency I, Hon. Benson Nwawulu, expressed joy over the decision of the members of the opposition party to join the "moving train", and promised the new members that their decision to join APGA would benefit them.

 Also speaking during the ceremony, the state secretary of APGA in the state, Hon. Barr. Tony
 Ifeanya, congratulated the new members, stating that the move would benefit them. He also commended APGA in the local government area and said that their good conduct attracted
 new members into the party.

In his brief remark, the President General of Okpoko community, Hon. Linus Ezenwamadu,
commended the new APGA members as well as the old members and said that they did well ro have joined APGA because Obiano's government is doing well.
