DPO vows to flush out criminals out of Ogidi, pleads for cooperation of stakeholders

www.odogwublog.com reports Still basking in the euphoria of the victory of Governor Willie Obiano and security operatives especially the police against criminals in Anambra state, the newly transferred Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Mr. Mark Ijarafu, warned today that those of them who still remain in his area have to leave or meet their water low.

He sounded the note of warning when he visited the Idemili North Caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Ralph Nnabuife Asha to solicit for his support and cooperation in flushing out the criminals.

According to him, “we will look at the situation on the ground in Idemili and take it as a challenge and know how to tackle it, we are trying to reinvigorate our patrol system. We will look at the structure put on ground and review it to be in tandem with the situation found on the ground”.

“Ogidi has a wider jurisdiction than Onitsha Central Police Division where I came from so I intend to work with the vigilance group in the respective 10 communities that make up the Division to see that we police the area effectively but it does not mean we are going to leave the Job for them.”

“we will work hand in hand with them to help send the criminals out of the area.
I am in the Local Government Headquarters, Ogidi, to Solicit the support of the council chairman, stakeholders and community leaders to give us information and whatever information given will be treated with every confidentiality” he assured.

In his response, the council chairman, Chief Nnabuife, pledged to give him the necessary support adding that Governor Willie Obiano has already done the magic by flushing out criminals out of the state.
He however urged him to fight the motorcycle armed robbers that now terrorize the area.
