Mrs Ugwuanyi Monica shines in Enugu , says ‘’It is important to impact on the lives of the vulnerable’’


www.odoguwblog.com reports that the Enugu State First Lady, and wife of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, has appealed to the privileged in the society to show compassion to the less privileged and vulnerable among them by imparting on their welfare.




Mrs. Ugwuanyi made the passionate appeal over the weekend as her pet project,'Ugo Touch of Life Foundation'[U- TOLF], took it's  medical outreach to  Amachara Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area of the state.


She pleaded that such compassion if transmitted in form of medical facilities will improve on the health of the citizens,especially those living in the rural areas.


Her words,' Learn to be compassionate to one another to attract the blessings of the Lord. Your time is enough for us to touch somebody’s life. All hands must be on deck to move Enugu State forward. Let us start working together; It is important to touch the lives of our people especially the vulnerable ones."

The leader of the project's health department, Dr. Robinson Agu, advised that a high sense of hygiene should be maintained to stave off deadly diseases, adding that it's important for people to always visit health centers for routine medical check-up.

The chairman of Udi Local Government Council, Dr. Hyacinth Ngwu, commended Mrs. Ugwuanyi for initiating the programme, noting that it would vastly enhance the people's well-being.


The paramount ruler of Ngwo, Igwe Innocent Ayalogu, similarly lauded the Enugu First Lady for the medical outreach and her support to the governor.


Igwe Ayalogu stated, 'The monumental development in Enugu State piloted by our dynamic and amiable governor leaves no one in doubt. We believe in the axiom that behind every successful man is the wife, the people’s governor is for the grassroots'.


The medical outreach also featured screenings to detect any eye ailment, cervical and breast cancer.
