Enugu to Launch Endowment Fund on Security with N100 Milion

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Enugu State government is set to launch an endowment fund aimed at helping registered Neighbourhood Associations in the state to procure equipment that would further enhance security of lives and property.

The state commissioner for information, Dr. Godwin Udeuhele, told news men that the decision was taken at the last state executive council meeting of the state, stating an approval for the already procured equipment to be distributed to all the recognized Neighbourhood Associations in the
state was also given, of which the date of the distribution will be announced later.

'This is sequel to the council's earlier approval of N100m for the purchase and distribution of items like utility vans and motorcycles to Neighbourhood Watch Associations across the state',Udeuhele stated..


He disclosed  that the council  also approved the purchase of response vehicles, utility vans and ambulance for the State Emergency Management Agency to re position itself and be able  to respond quickly to emergencies.
