Catholic Archbishop Okeke runs away from court as 82 Year Old Widow Battles him over Property in Anambra

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Catholic Archbishop Okeke, (one of the defendants) in the case involving a 82 years old widow, Lady Juliana Onuorah was absent again in court, but was represented by a senior counsel, A C Anaenugwu (SAN) who led other counsels to the court.

This is even as there was mild drama Wednesday at the Ogidi High Court, Idemili North local government area of Anambra state, when 82 year Old widow, Lady Juliana Onuorah entered the witness box to testify in the matter between her and the catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev Valerian Okeke and six others.
The presiding Judge, Justice Vincent Agbata, told the counsels that he was not impressed the way some of them were trying to frustrate the case and quickly directed them to choose dates to complete the case within seven days.

The 82 year old widow Juliana Onuorah, was represented by another senior Counsel, Theodore Udochi who led S O Oni for the plaintiff, Lady Onuorah and her daughter, Patricia had dragged the catholic priest and six others to court over alleged false claim to their property situated in Nkpor, Idemili North council area.
Some of the properties of the widow, allegedly being claimed by the Catholic Church were buildings and our lady’s church built by the widow on the authority of the Archbishop.
When the matter came up yesterday at Ogidi, Counsel to the plaintiff, Theodore Udochi told the court that he filed a pre-trial conference (PTC) application which was granted, but Justice Agbata frowned at such, asking the counsel whether they wanted the case to move ahead.
He therefore cancelled the next adjourned date for the matter and ordered for fresh dates.
Justice Agbata further told the court clerk to call up the case with the old widow mounting the witness box immediately.
When Anaenugwu (SAN) started cross examining the first witness (Lady Onuorah), she told the court that she lived at “our lady’s premises Nkpor and had worked at the Bakery Section for many years”.
At that point, the presiding Judge told the counsels to pick dates for seven days for accelerated hearing.
The matter was finally adjourned by Justice Agbata for June 21 and 28, July 3, 6, 10, 11 and 17 for continuation.
When newsmen enquired from Anaenugwu (SAN) after the court session, while his client (Archbishop) was absent, he said the cleric was being represented, adding that anytime he was required, that he would be in court-since it was not a criminal case, rather civil.
