Anambra State High Court arraign 10 youths from Nibo for conspiracy, malicious damage

www.odogwublog.com the Anambra State High Court presided over by Hon. Justice Theophine Ugochukwu Oguji, Thursday, arraigned ten youths of Ifite-Nibo community in Awka South LGA of Anambra State on three count charges bordering on conspiracy, malicious damage and attempted murder.

The plaintiff, Mrs Eze Ngozi Obiageli had told the court that the youths allegedly conspired, went to her paternal family compound at Ifite-Nibo with different weapons and destroyed ten lock-up shops belonging to her late father and pulled down the structures; destroying all other household and business property therein.

Counsel to the plaintiff,  Barr. Nwajagu, told the court that the offences committed by the defendants were contrary to Sections 33 (1) & 34 (1) of the 1999 Constitution as amended; as well as Section 36 (6) (b) of the Constitution of the Federation of Nigeria, 1999 as amended.

After listening to the presentations, the presiding judge, Justice Theophine Oguji, adjourned to April 11th & 14th April, 2017 for continued hearing.
