Stay away from South/East, Navy chief warns kidnappers

www.odogwublog.com reports that Chief of air staff Air Vice Marshal Sadiq Abubakar has warned kidnappers and other criminal elements terrorising the south east zone Imo state to leave or face combatant power of its new war equipment.

Sadiq gave the warning yesterday during the ground breaking ceremony of 211 regiment group of the Nigeria Airforce at Ngor Okpala,Owerri. He noted that the sighting of the base in the state will help to checkmate rising crime in the south east.

While promising that the Nigeria Airforce would continue to to protect the lives and properties of the citizens in the country,he thanked president Mohammadu Buhari despite the economic situation in the country for adding Imo State to the already existing eight formations of the base across the country.

Governor Rochas Okorocha in his speech at the occasion expressed happiness for the sighting of the of the unit in the state,he noted that the state was lucky to attract such facility in the shortest period of his lamentation of marginalisation by the federal government.

But he added that the state needed more of the development from the federal government especially on the rehabilitation of the Aba, Orlu road. "with what has happened today, Imo have been remembered. We would now have marine university, Airforce secondary school and others,this will mark a new page in the development of Imo"

He however assured that the state government will pay compensation to all those whose land are affected ,he appealed for peace among the indegenes assuring that their communities would be better for it.
