No moral justification for continued detention of Kanu, IPOB leader - MP, Sopuluchukwu Ezeonwuka

www.odogwublog.com reports that a member of House of Representatives representing Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency of Anambra state, Hon. Sopuluchukwu Ezeonwuka yesterday said that there is no moral justification to continue to detain the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking at the sideline of  Governor Willie Obiano's three years in office, at the weekend, at Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, near Awka, Ezeonwuka noted that it was quite unfortunate that the rule of law is not guiding Nigeria's principles of democracy as it should.

He lamented that not allowing the rule of law to guide our principles of democracy does not speak well for the democracy itself, let alone the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government of the federation and even the judiciary itself which allowed its order to release Kanu unconditionally to be trampled upon and swept under the carpet.

On Governor Obiano's performances so far within his three years in office, Ezeonwuka said he acknowledged the fact that governance is not easy, adding that governance is only meant for men who have good administrative acumen.

According to him, "any one who finds himself into governance must put in his best and I must say that Obiano tried his best in three years".

On Obiano's three years in office, Chief Chris Oranu Chidume, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Krisoral Group of Companies; Hon. Tony Omeligwe-Elee, Anambra state Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and Hon. Obiora Ezechukwu, Chairman of Aguata Local government chapter of APGA, praised Obiano for achieving a great feat within the period.

Specifically, Chidume, Omeligwe-Elee and Ezechukwu scored Obiano high in the areas of security of lives and property, massive agricultural revolution and infrastructural development, adding that if given a second tenure, he would transform Anambra into an enviable state.
