FG Earmarks One Billion Naira in the 2017 Budget for Otuocha-Anam-Nzam-Abaji-Kogi Road Construction

www.odogwublog.com reports that Federal Government has earmarked over One Billion Naira in the 2017 Budget for the construction of Otuocha-Anam-Nzam-Abaji-Kogi Road Construction.
Member Representing Anambra East and West in the National Assembly, Dr Tony Nwoye announced this in a chat with The Authority in Awka yesterday.

Hon Nwoye said he personally wrote the Hon Minister for Works, Housing and Power, His Excellency Raji Fashola SAN requesting for Inclusion of Funds for Rehabilitation of Otuocha-Anam-Nzam-Innoma-Iheaka-Ibaji-Kogi Federal Road in the 2017 Budget.

He added that ‘’On the of 6th Oct, 2016 I again wrote the Chairman House Committee on Works in the federal house of representatives, Hon Tobi Okechukwu still requesting for inclusion of funds for Rehabilitation of thesame Otuocha-Anam-Nzam-Kogi federal road in the 2017 budget, reminding all involved that the said road when completed will open up this area which is the food basket of the state and contributes a great percentage to Nigeria's gross domestic product through Agriculture.

‘’’Shortly after, in his struggle to alleviate the suffering of his people of Anambra East and West federal constituency relieve came all through as both the honourable minister for works, housing and power HE. Raji Fashola SAN and the chairman house committee on works Hon Tobi Okechukwu sent a reply to my request, promising to do their best during the consideration of the 2017 appropriation.

Nwoye concluded: ‘’Finally, all hands were on deck working together to achieve the said purpose starting from the ministry of works, house members and colleagues and the house committee on Works, and to God be the glory N1billion naira has been earmarked in 2017 budge as a result of my agitation and assistance of others’’.
