ESUT students escape building collapse, building owned by Speaker Obosi

www.odogwublog.com reports that some students of the department of Management Sciences,Enugu State University of Science and Technology,ESUT,  who were trekking to their lecture hall yesterday scampered for safety, as they were stormed by the noise from a collapsing  two storey building under construction, very close to their lecture compound. The building is owned by Enugu state Speaker,Hon Edward Ubosi allegedly.

An eye witness disclosed to that no life was lost as none of the workers was within the building site at about midday when the incident occurred. Speculations are rife that the collapsed two storey building is owned by a high ranking  politician serving in the present administration of Enugu state government.

Further  checks revealed that the collapsed building is located  within the range  of plots of land carved out from the temporary site of ESUT beside Mkpokiti junction,Ogui New layout and shared to politicians by the  immediate past administration in the state, for their private structures.

It was gathered that  the officials of Enugu  Capital Territory  Development Authority[ECTDA],visited  the site of the building collapse immediately and sealed it up immediately. Attempts to reach the state commissioner for Enugu Capital Development Authority,[ECTDA],Hon Chidi Aroh before filing this report was futile.

The authorities of the state government  also has not made any  official statement relating to the collapsed two storey building as at the time of filing this report.
