IPOB declares 17 members missing

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB has declared seventeen of their members after the attack of their members who were having a meeting on Sunday in Okwe Primary School Asaba, asking the army authorities to release them without further delay.

The group also alleged that the military has been harassing and arresting their members and other Biafra agitators who wear Biafra uniform and other Biafra materials, in Asaba and other states in the South East since Sunday attack of those holding meeting at Okwe in Asaba.

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr Emma Powerful said the harassment and intimidation of their members is becoming unbearable, alleging that their members are missing on daily basis without trace to their whereabouts, but noted that the 17 people were taken away after the attack at the meeting venue at Okwe in Asaba Delta state.

"We cannot stop the agitation at this stage freedom is at sight, so no amount of intimidation harassment and arrest of our members will deter us Nigeria security agency arrest and dumped our members in the secret cells without traces, our members are missing every day without knowing where they are being dumped.

"The IPOB intelligent unit uncovered heinous plans against our members whom they believe are bent on restoration of Biafra nation, the annoying thing about the arrest and shooting of our members is that the Hausa Fulani terrorist group are still parading in Nigeria killing and maiming people at random without any arrest but soldiers and security agencies but Biafrans are being arrested for not doing anything wrong at will.

"It is quite ugly that the Nigeria government and her security agencies will be pursuing the nonviolent group who uses no arms to pursue the restoration of Biafra, while Fulani herdsmen are there killing people with impunity, with guns and dangerous weapons and no security agency has arrested anyone of them.

"The Nigerian Federal Government cannot draw an agenda for us it is only the Prophet of out time Mr.Nnamdi Kanu and the leadership and members of IPOB that draws the agenda we follow, we will maintain nonviolent approach towards the realization of Biafra, but will not accept further massacre of our members by the military.

IPOB called on international community, Amnesty Iinternational, Human Right Watch and all the human rights organizations, countries and all well meaning world leaders to prevail on Nigeria government to stop the barbaric attitude of killing her non violent members by the Nigeria Army and other security agencies as well as release of members arrested.
