Uwazurike restates commitment to actualise Biafra

Leader of Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazurike, yesterday, restated his commitment to actualising what he called the Biafran nation.
Uwazurike, who formed the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), before the group was rechristened BIM, stated this while recommitting himself to the cause at the Ojukwu Memorial Library, Owerri, Imo State.
While claiming that the movement was advancing at great speed, he expressed optimism that the actualisation was in sight.
Accompanied by the former Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the former Head of State, late Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Al Mustapha (rtd), among others, Uwazurike recalled the non-violent posture of the group in pursuing its course, urging scores of members of the movement to remain resolute and maintain the group’s philosophy as they inch towards a sovereign nation.
Director of Information of the group, Chris Mocha, told The Guardian that the mobilisation and registration of new members was ongoing, even as he expressed happiness that the dream of the group was nearing fruition.
