The 'On Becoming' story of Toke Makinwa

Popular Media Guru, Toke Makinwa has probably seen it all, having taken the bold step to document her pains, agonies and disappointments in a well crafted book format, that will surely resonate with her for life.

The book simply titled 'On Becoming' which will be officially released on November 28, 2016, in leading bookstores in Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom and the Republic of South Africa, is a great documentation of Toke's amazing journey from pain to victory, telling her readers how she went from bubbly child to lonely teenager after the devastating loss of both parents , to become one of Nigeria's most successful Media personalities

The beautiful Makinwa dropped the hint about the releasing of her book early in November during her birthday. "It's my birthday, she began, apart from the fact  that I am a big birthday girl; i love celebrating my birthdays, this year i have so much to celebrate. I started working on the project 'On Becoming', a year ago, and before i let you all in on the big reveal, i would like to share with you, "On Becoming visuals"Makinwa shared on youtube. She also broke her silence on the marriage scandals and how it changed her life, finding forgiveness and strengthening her faith in God.

The OAP who shared the cover art of the new book on social media noted that she never intended to write a book , saying that God directed her to put down her 'journey through pain to victory'

At the beginning of last year 2015, when the Lord told me i was going to write a book, i was confused. Is it God's voice? Is it mine? How will this work out? I never planned to write a book, what I'm I supposed to write, i did what i had become used to, I ran" Makinwa recalled.
