Super eagles hard-tackling defence stalwart, Kenneth Omeruo, has been awarded the sports personality of the year award in Turkey where he plies his trade.
The award was bestowed on the Chelsea loanee towards his contribution to the industry by the African entertainers based in Turkey. Omeruo who wrote on one of his social media handles, expressed his satisfaction towards the honour.
"Privileged to have received the sports personality award in the African entertainment awards in Turkey" he wrote on his tweeter handle.
The former Nigerian U-17 and U-20 international put up an impressive performance in Alanyaspor's 3-0 victory over Kayserispor in the Turkish super league on Friday.
The player revealed his intention to further prove himself in the Turkey league and hopefully win a speedy return to his parent club, Chelsea, who are currently topping the EPL table.
