Rig 2019 polls, test the will of Nigerians , PDP dares INEC, FG

www.odogwublog.com reports that the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) has warned  the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), as well as the Federal Government not to try rigging the 2019 polls in favour of the ruling All Progressive Congress ( APC), as such action would amount to testing the will of Nigerians.

National Chairman of PDP, Chief Uche Secondus who gave the warning  while addressing Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and the leadership of PDP in Abia State, said the warning had become necessary due to the obvious signals that INEC might not conduct a free and fair election in 2019.

He warned that PDP and the masses would stoutly resist any attempt by INEC , APC or the Federal Government to manipulate the outcome of the 2019 elections at all levels.

His words : " APC and INEC , you cannot rig the 2019 election! If they want to depend on rigging they will be testing the will of Nigerians. I want to tell APC that if it wants to rig through INEC we will resist it.

" INEC, we are warning you. Don't try to rig the election in 2019 because Nigerians will resist you. God will also resist you. You  better make up your mind to conduct free and fair election. Any thing thing to the contrary will be counter productive", he warned.

Secondus also said the only remaining legacy President Muhammadu Buhari could bequeath to Nigerians " having failed woefully in all other areas of governance is to conduct free and fair election in 2019 so we can remember him for that".

He enjoined Nigerians of voting age to get their voters card in the on- going voter registration exercise so they could use it to " change this bad change in 2019".

Speaking earlier, Gov. Ikpeazu had assured Secondus that Abia remained PDP strong base , and would vote massively for PDP candidates  in 2019.
