Their leader, Chief Chidi Nwogu while addressing the Deputy Governor represented by his Special Adviser Political, Dr Chris Nwike said as a son of Mbaitoli, Prince Madumere was over qualified to succeed his boss.

According to him, Prince Madumere has the 12 qualities listed by Governor Okorocha which includes humility, tolerance, adding that Mbaitoli people have all unanimously agreed to ask him to contest as Governor of Imo State from May 2019.

Chief Nwogu said "you will see that our brothers from other local governments like Ohaji/Egbema; Nwangele; Nkwerre; Ikeduru amongst others have joined them to call on the Deputy Governor to rescue the State. We want our son to come out and he can count on our total support".

Responding, Madumere's Special Adviser Political, Dr Chris Nwike said his boss travelled out of the State on official duties but promised to deliver their message.

He said "your behaviour has shown that all of you even from different councils are together, obviously you have endorsed him for the job and I will inform him and show him all your placards and banners. I will tell him you said you all love him for his humane nature".

On his part, the member representing Mbaitoli State Constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon Ifeanyi Nnataraonye popularly called " Olugbu" said the Deputy Governor no doubt has learnt the ropes from his boss adding that he will succeed.

He said as a lawmaker, he cannot endorse Prince Madumere but as a representative of the people, he has joined his people to say what they all agreed on.

"You can't mention any good road in the State and not mention Madumere, he is trustworthy, and dependable, and we are saying he has tried, we now want him to contest as Governor of Imo State and we promise to make it come to pass", Nnataraonye said.

Some of the placards read " Madumere for Imo Governor 2019; Mr Incorruptible for Imo Governor 2019; Ohamadike Imo Nice", amongst others.
