CNPP Anambra State Chapter Communique



COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE CONFERENCE OF NIGERIA POLITICAL PARTIES  (CNPP) ANAMBRA STATE CHAPTER AFTER AN EMERGENCY MEETING AT EAST END HOTEL AWKA
 ON THURSDAY 25 JANUARY 2018

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) Anambra State Chapter as the Umbrella body for all the registered Political in Nigeria wish to state as follows:
That the continued killing of Nigerians by the Herdsmen or any other group of people in whatever guise and for what so ever reason is condemnable and unacceptable.
That security men should hence forth  stop treating these criminals with kid glove, and ensure that all citizens are treated equally with equal protection by unleashing the full weight of the laws to the erring citizens or group no matter their status.
That cattle rearing like any other investment in Nigeria should be subjected to the rule of law guiding other businesses in Nigeria and should not be allowed to take undue advantage of others in any form or manner what so ever and investors into cattle ranching should be made to acquire fixed capital to enhance their productivity that will ensure revenue to the Government and Employment to teaming Nigerians.
That (CNPP) congratulate the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nigeria for their aggressive campaigns during the November 18 Anambra State Governorship Elections which earned them victory across the twenty one Local Government Councils of Anambra State and thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his efforts which now changed the narratives and  brought a new dawn where all Anambrarians are winners in that Governorship Election.
CNPP implored the State Governor Dr. Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano to treat all the Anambrarians as Stake Holders for the Electoral support which Ndi Anambra has rendered to him that is unprecedented in the history of the State.
That CNPP duff our hat for Senator Sir, Victor Umeh for emerging the first All Progressives Grand Alliance  (APGA) Senator in the history which came through a rigorous Legal and Political Process.
CNPP particularly thanked Senator Sir V        ictor Umeh for his civility, unassuming, doggedness and Igbo man’s fighting spirit that saw him through in his cherished carrier, also thanked Umeh’s Opponents for helping to sharpen him through the rigorous processes that now qualified him for the Anambra Central Senatorial Seat.
CNPP advised Senator Sir Victor Umeh while in the Senate to face the work of legislation, oversight function and attracting of project to Anambra Central and the State at large against the myopic situation in Anambra State where Seating Senators are only using the constituency allowance to sponsor prayers in the Local Radio Stations in Anambra State living large at the expense of their constituency.
Senator Umeh is urged to bring his street wisdom to bear in the floor of the Senate and bring pride to his father land instead of shame which the present crop of Senators has brought to Ndi Anambra.
CNPP mourns the demise of Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, founding member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ,leader of G.34 that metamorphosed into People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that ruled Nigeria for sixteen years, one of the most detribalized Nigerians who remained in touch with his people till his last breath, calls on the Federal Government of Nigeria and Anambra State Government to immortalize him as a mark of solidity.
Finally, CNPP calls on Inspector General of Police Mohammed Idris to order with immediate effect for the stop of harassment of Anambra People in various checking point in the State where Okada riders are made to alight with their passengers in other to cross security checking point no matter the condition of these passengers whether aged or sick, that Anambra State is not and should not be treated as terrorist State but a peaceful and law abiding state.
