President Buhari directs minister of health to investigate spread of 'unknown disease' in Jigawa State
President Buhari has given an automatic order to the Minister of Heath, Prof. Isaac Adewole to take proper investigation of an ‘unknown disease’ that has claimed a total number of 50 children in Jigawa State.
Buhari also directed the Minister to deploy all the necessary machinery to control the outbreak of the disease reported in Gidan Dugus village of Wangara district, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
President Buhari, who telephoned Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State on Tuesday evening to ascertain the details of the incident, commiserated with the governor and the families of the victims.
He assured the governor that the Federal Government will provide the necessary support to contain the spread of the disease
