Stakeholders in Njikoka appealed to vote rightly and wisely

www.odogwublog.com reports that stakeholders in Njiokoka local government area, were at the weekend educated on the electoral processes for the 2017 Governorship election in Anambra state.
Participants were drawn from each of the communities in the council area for the one day sensitization programme at the council secretariat Enugu-Ukwu.

The event tagged ‘’a day voter education on effective electoral processes for Governorship election organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) was unique in several ways.
Addressing participants  on effective electoral processes, Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer (C.O.M.O.) of NOA ,Reverend Kingsley E.N. Chukwukamma said electoral process starts with interest to vote.

He said aside interest to vote , participation by electorates, reduction of invalid voters , peaceful election, building of confidence are among the things that determines credible and acceptable elections.
Rev Chukwukamma pointed out that effective electoral process starts from registration, even as he explained in details what was expected of them at each polling unit and after voting.
He encouraged them not to be scared by the presence of the security men but to do the right thing as their votes are mightier than the guns of the security agents , appealing to them to ensure the vote , wait for the ballot papers to be counted , recorded and wait until winner is declared by INEC’s Returning Officer before going.

The traditional ruler of Abagana , Igwe Patrick Mbamalu Okeke and the Chairman on the Occasion , Electoral Officer (EO) Njikoka , Mr Obinna Onuiri and staff of NOA Headquarters , Mr Felix Agbo,  reminded the stakeholders on the need to spread the sensitization as non compliance to the right things advocated at the meeting invalidates the PVC. They urged them to shun all electoral offences.
