PPP flags off campaign as candidate Pastor Modezie assures on justice and fairness in governance

www.odogwublog.com reports that Peoples Progressives Party (PPP) yesterday flagged off its 2017 Governorship election campaign with the Governorship Candidate Pastor Kenneth Ejike Modezie assuring the Anambra electorates that if elected his government would be hinged on justice and equity.
Addressing members of the party at the East End hotels Awka , venue of the flag off , Pastor Modezie said he would invest more in education and that he would ensure that Anambra children and youths have access to quality education at least from primary to secondary school levels.
He said : ‘’I will introduce Indian practical education with contents of knowledge and character in Anambra state beyond mere academic certificates. Character is the habit of what you do everyday. Education without good character is not enough. Character building and knowledge should be the chief aim of education.
Pastor Modezie announced that his government would mechanize and modernize agriculture to make farming attractive as a profitable occupation to the people, adding that he would champion opening up of rural communities by embarking on road construction , housing estates and farm settlements.
He said he was moved into politics by the cries of hunger , unemployment , marginalization ,agitations in the society necessitated by bad governance especially wrong definition of politics and politicized messages.
The PPP Candidate insisted that his administration if elected would uplift the poor and oppressed in the state mostly those left to rot and die by an uncaring government who see the people as nuisance . He also said he would safeguard free and open society in which the fundamental human rights and values of liberty , equality shall be equal.
Pastor Modezie said he would champion the freedom , dignity and well being of individual while distributing the power to foster diversity and nurture creativity, adding that no one shall be enslaved by class , poverty and ignorance.
The PPP state Chairman, Mr Ken Okafor in his remarks assured that PPP has all it takes to win the election with the support of the masses and appealed to the electorate to shun money bags but vote a trusted and tested man of God to move the state to the next level.
Mr Okafor informed that the PPP candidate was a former Bank manager and contested Federal House of Representatives as well as an accomplished Author of gospel books.
