Teenage Boy electrocuted while trying to reconnect light

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Enugu state police command yesterday reported the death of a teenage boy named Enoch Ede through electrocution,as he tried to reconnect an electric light that was disconnected by officials of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company[EEDC],over non payment of their accumulated electric bills. 


A press statement issued from the office of  the  state Police public relations officer[PPRO],Mr Ebere Amaraizu[DSP], a copy of which was made to 'Odogwublog' said that the incident occurred along 'Deeper Life church road,Agbani, in Nkanu West local government area of Enugu state on Monday,September 25.


He said the body of the deceased is now deposited at Agbani General hospital

In a related development, the Enugu state command has arrested one Mr Wisdom Kelechi,for allegedly pouring petrol on the body of his helper by name,Junior Onah,  and setting him on fire..

Amaraizu said the incident happened on Sunday,September 24, at about 11pm, at Ifoh field in Abakpa Nike axis of Enugu metropolis.

According to Amaraizu, the suspect said his reason for setting the boy ablaze  was for the fact that Junior Onah  left the  barbing salon,where he[the suspect]  had plugged a phone and eventually it  was stolen.

He said the suspect has been arrested by the state police and is helping the police in their investigations,just as the victim  who was rescued with severe burns, have been taking to hospital where he is now  receiving treatment.
