Man, Makus Sunday, 23 crushed to death in Anambra

www.odogwublog.com reports that tears freely flow in Ichi, Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra state on Saturday when a twenty three year old Makus Sunday was crushed to death in front of the residence of his master by a brown Acura MDX with registration number SMK 232 DX at about 8.00pm.

Sunday who was working in Ravel Stone Table Water in the community was said to have paid a visit to his Adamawa state brother who also work in the same establishment before the tragedy struck.

An eye witness who will not want his name in print said that the vehicle that crushed the death was moving from Nnewi and heading toward Onitsha but lost control at the point of accident where a woman was knocked before crossing over to smash the deceased Sunday into the perimeter fence of his master's residence.

Our source said that Sunday who sustain fatal injury in his head region died at the spot while the other woman earlier knocked was rushed to an unnamed hospital when she is said to be responding to treatment.

The eyewitness identified high speed, technical fault and influence of alcohol as possible cause of the accident noting that many drivers are notorious for over speeding whenever they are traveling from Nnewi to Onitsha.

When newsmen visited the Ichi Divisional Police Station, for police angle of the story, the DPO was not seat but a senior officer who pleaded for anonymity confirmed the incident.

He said that the DPO actually worked into the early hours of yesterday to ensure that the vehicle was towed to the police station, which according to became imperative because the owner/driver of the Acura MDX vehicle disappeared from the scene the moment he realized the gravity of damage caused by the accident.

Meanwhile, the crushed remains of Makus Sunday has been deposited at Restland Mortuary and Embalmment Center in Ichi.
