Christian Rowland writing for ODOGWU MEDIA...The Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications and General Manager, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Folake Ani-Mumuney has been elected the new President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) during the association’s Annual General Meeting held in Lagos.

Speaking shortly after her inauguration, Ani-Mumuney said she was honoured to be elected to lead association and promised to bring in her wealth of experience to run the organisation while building on the achievements of her predecessors.

She holds a BA degree in philosophy from University of Lagos and later attended University of Birmingham between where she grabbed LLB in Law.

She has several years of valuable experience, having worked before now as, Manager, African Operations at British Airways, Group Head, Corporate Affairs and Marketing Communications at Dangote Group before her present engagement with First Bank of Nigeria.

As the President of ADVAN, she is expected to bring her years of experience and network into fore to further position the association which is regarded as the most sought for in the industry, for, the association is regarded as one that lays the golden eggs as well as one that ‘oils’ the entire advertising and marketing communication industry in Nigeria.

Also speaking, Mr. Onome Asagbra, Product Manager, Indomie who emerged the new Publicity Secretary of the association said the new executives will work together to take ADVAN to the next level.
