Tension in Anambra community as 1000 Nkwelle-Ezunaka Youths protest alleged plot against Exco

www.odogwublog.com reports that over One thousand (1,000) youths  of Nkwelle-Ezunaka community, Oyi Local
Government Area, Anambra state, yesterday morning took to the major roads to protest  alleged plot to remove their town union executive headed by the President General,  Chief Ikechukwu Nnalue and replace the executive with a caretaker committee.

Some of the protesters carried placards that read, "we want our PG back, we love him, he is doing well, Nkwelle-Ezunaka say no to imposition of caretaker committee on us, we will deliver APGA come
November 2017"

The protesters led by Mr Innocent Ibemesi, later proceeded to Nteje, the council headquarters where the Transition Committee Chairman, Prince Charles Okafor wiper, commended them for a peaceful protest and pledged to carry their grievances to Governor Willie Obiano.

He said, "I commend you for the peaceful protest in spite of your serious grievances and I assure you that your grievances would be carried to His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano and as you go back home continue to be peaceful"

Earlier on arrival at the council the  protesting youths, through
their Chairman, Ibemesi, told the committee Chairman that they were
surprised over the alleged plot adding that the people should be
consulted before the removal of their innocent executive who according
to them have brought infrastructural development to the community.

In their various remarks, Emmanuel Orjiakor and Ikechukwu Chukwurah,
youths, attributed the plot to the handiwork of enemies of progress
who were not popular to contest with the incumbent PG come December
this year adding, "they want a short road to the office because they
know that nobody will vote for them"

From the council headquarters they came back to the townhall and vowed
never to allow impostors to take over their community stating, "we
have no crisis that will warrant the alleged plot to remove our town
union executives".

"This is the elected executive that has been doing well, look at our
townhall they are building, the rumour to remove our executive is
political and those said to be members of the caretaker committee are
not members of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, but People
Democratic Party, PDP. The whole of Nkwelle- Ezunaka is APGA and we
will vote for our amiable Governor Willie Obiano come 18 November this
year".
