Anambra 2017 Governorship election: Comrade Nwibe from Anambra Central emerges candidate of Democratic Alternative, DA

www.odogwublog.com reports that it was jubilation yesterday in Awka when Comrade Emmanuel Nwibe emerged the standard bearer of Democratic Alternative Party, DA for the November 18th governorship election in Anambra state.
Comrade Emmanuel Nwibe, a psychologist hails from Isu-Aniocha in Awka North local government area of Anambra state.
He becomes the first candidate from the central senatorial zone of the state that will be challenging the incumbent governor, Chief Willie Obiano.
At a state Congress and primary election organized by Democratic Alternative Party, DA at Palcorn Hills hotel Isu-Aniocha under the supervision of INEC officials, comrade Nwibe emerged through a Consensus vote. 
Two other aspirants had withdrew their aspirations to contest few hours before the primary saying they believed in the capabilities of their party member Comrade Emmanuel Nwibe .
 National chairman of Democratic Alternative, Prince Frank Ukonga who chaired the five man primary election committee commended party delegates and the aspirants for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner as well as considering the overall interest of the party before their personal gains.
  Prince Ukonga charged the flag bearer to ensure that he carried along every member of the great party and work hard to capture the governorship seat come November 18th through the polls.
The national chairman said the party decided d to conduct the primary alongside the state Congress where Chief Edward Okoye was ratified as the substantive chairman of Democratic Alternative in Anambra state with other members of the executives emerging.
The chairman of Democratic Alternative party in Anambra state,  Chief Edward Okoye while speaking with journalists described DA as the only party in the state that has internal Democracy and expressed the hope that they will emerge victorious come November 18th 2017.
Chief Okoye who expressed confidence in the electoral umpire INEC to conduct a credible free and fair election in Anambra state enjoined eligible electorate to endeavor to equip themselves with permanent voters card which would empower them to decide who governs them.
The Democratic Alternative party candidate, comrade Emmanuel Nwibe pledged to bring about the desired developmental change needed in the state. Comrade Nwibe said his cardinal objective was to reposition the education,  health and sports sectors noted that youth empowerment would be a tool to fight security in Anambra state.
