Anambra 2017: MASSOB, IPOB guber aspirant under UPP opens campaign office in Nnewi

www.odogwublogcom reports that the Anambra state governorship aspirant on the platform of United Progressive Party(UPP) Chief Osita Chidoka today opened a campaign office in Nnewi, Anambra state in a ceremony that was attended by party loyalists across the state.

Chief Chidoka at the occasion said that he left his former political party, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) when it became obvious that the internal crises rocking it would not make room for effective contest on the platform.

He pointed out that the manifestoes of United Progressive Party is in line with his principle particularly the area that seeks greater integration of the Igbo into the main frame of national politics.

The UPP governorship aspirant also berated the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) for its failure to effectively integrate the Igbo into national politics thereby given occasion for groups like IPOB, MASSOB and others to evolve.

The governorship aspirant said that he would as a matter policy ensure that infrastructures are put in place for private manufacturers and industrialists to actualize their full potentials and as well make sure that the government patronizes local manufacturers.

"We can not be pretending that Anambra state is the safest in the country when people can not do twenty four hours business in the state.

Chief Chidoka said that any economy that is not running twenty four hours would collapse and as such, he would ensure that infrastructure and enabling environment are provided for the local manufactures to operate twenty four hours.

"Before I became the Corp Marshall of FRSC, the organisation was buying Toyota motors but the moment I came in I made sure that we patronized Coscharis Motors and we bought two hundred and fifty vehicles from him in 2009.

"In 2012 when Innoson Motors started production, I made sure that FRSC bought one hundred and fifty pieces of pickup vans from the company because I believe that we can not be asking local manufacturers to produce when the government is not ready to encourage them by buying their products.

He said as a matter of fact that his administration if he makes it Awka Government House would write to the federal government that it is immoral for them to be buying foreign vehicles for official purposes.

Chief Chidoka who recalled how he has being of help to the Igbo in need at one time or the other said he would be a voice for the Igbo if he makes it to the government house.

"We can all hear Wike of Rivers and Fayose of Ekiti talking for their people but in all honesty who is actually speaking for the Igbo, my aspiration is to fill that gap apart from giving the state a visionary and transparent community based government driven only by the genuine aspirations of Anambra people." He asserted.
