ADWOC ends in Nri with a charge on women to be blessings unto the widows --------demands for recruitment of primary school teachers

www.odogwublog.com reports that Women all over the world have been charged to be compassionate like Dorcas to widows in their midst and remain channels of blessings to not only widows, indigent and orphans around them.
President Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guild and Girls’ Guild , diocese of Awka Anglican Communion, Mrs Martha Chioma Ibezim gave the charge in her Presidential address delivered to the 31st Awka Diocesan Women’s conference (ADWOC) 2017 at Saint Mary’s Church, Nri, Anaocha council area, Anambra state.
Mrs Ibezim while speaking on the theme ‘’They that know their God shall be Strong and do exploits’’ according to Daniel 11: 32b, encouraged women to provide shelter, food , clothes and medication to the vulnerable in their midst.
She tasked women to arise no matter the situation they are facing in the society and always move with courage and hope, adding that women must decisively know the God they are serving as HE alone can give the enablement to do exploits.
The ADWOC President, Mrs Ibezim reminded women that only God Almighty can give one the strength to carry out exploits or unimagined accomplishments in our lives, the Church , Society and families as well as businesses and offices.
She stated partly: ‘’…..in your darkest moment, look around, you will see a beam of light, that light is the re-assuring presence of God that all is well no matter what is happening right now. Remember, they that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. God is performing unlikely miracles on our crisis-ridden society. Have you noticed that God delight in doing the unthinkable , the unimaginable? His miracles are often quite unusual. It says in Isaiah that His ways are not our ways………’’.
Mrs Ibezim informed women that the women’s ministry since 2010 to 2017 have been able to acquire land and build the Mount Zion International Retreat and Resource center Okpuno and  the Queens’ convent Awka, the Mary Sumner vocational Institute Awka , Faith Children’s Community Home Awka for motherless, Amanwanyi complex Mbaukwu for training of new wives on home front, better life for widows , medicare for the aged, as well as different youth empowerment , rural and urban evangelism, education and skill acquisition for less privileged.
While referencing several exploits in the Bible by those who know their God, Mrs Ibezim lauded her husband and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Chibuzor Ibezim , PhD, JP , wife of the Primate and President of Mothers’ Union Church of Nigeria, Mrs Nkasiobi Okoh and wife of Archbishop on the Niger, Dame Jane Efobi as well as President emeritus , Mrs Blessing Anikwenwa among others for their support and encouragement.
She frowned at the height of religious politics which she described as –religious political war which has engineered marginalization and discrimination rather than service and stewardship based on accountability and probity. She asked leaders to shun religious politics as it has affected the youths adversely especially with regards to jobs creation.
Mrs Ibezim appealed for recruitment of qualified primary school teachers since there is gross shortage of teachers at the primary school system , this she suggested if done will eliminate excess pupils in a class with attendant noise and unproductively. 
Speaking on the first day, Senator Uche Ekwunife expressed gratitude to God for His awesomeness in her family adding that without God she would have achieved nothing. She donated over a Million to the women in support of Nri women in diocesan projects. She tasked women to imbibe the culture of self-confidence and participate in politics despite various challenges bedeviling the female gender in Nigerian political space.
She noted that women, as the rock of every family, should exert themselves and eschew age long sentiments that women are the weaker sex.

President of Mothers Union , Mrs Ibezim had her addressed appreciated by Dame Dr Baber, a retiree from NNPC with half a million naira and assured to contribute N50,000 to Queens College for the next one year. Prof Mrs Nkechi Ikediugwu and former commissioner for Health and current Chief Medical Director Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka as well as Dr Mrs Chinyere Oko-Jaja and Pharmacist Ngozi Ironkwe , all spoke to the women on various topics targeted at a whole woman.
Nri ancient kingdom is known for peace with historical, religious and political influence over a vast area in Igbo land with Anglican Church coming to Nri in 1910. The ADWOC held in Onwa Agwu Nri 2017.
