Traditional ruler of Awka-Etiti, HRM Igwe Chukwuma Angus Ojukwu dares Governor Obiano, declares for Governor

www.odogwublog.com reports that the traditional ruler of Awka-Etiti in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, HRM Igwe Chukwuma Angus Ojukwu, has dared the sitting Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano. Igwe Ojukwu risking his certificate as monarch, even declared his ambition to contest the November 18, 2017, governorship election in Anambra State.
The royal father, who declared his ambition on Sunday under the platform of Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), said that Obiano’s visionless leadership informed his ambition to run, to replace the incumbent at the Agu-Awka Government House.
He said that Governor Willie Obioano’s administration has not improved the lots of an average Anambrarian, thus the need for change.
“My objective is to bring light to Anambra State. It is time for light to shine in our state. This is what the present administration has not been able to do; I am poised to doing it”, he added. 
Declaring his ambition during a mega ceremony he organized at his country home in Awka-Etiti, in the presence of the State Executive Council of MPPP led by Evangelist (Amb) Simon Anidike, party faithful, town folk and well-wishers, Igwe Ojukwu reeled out ten-point agenda which, he said, would form his blueprint for the governance of Anambra State, if elected.
The ten-point agenda, according to him, include: Free and compulsory primary and secondary education, free maternal/child care, electricity for all, safe drinking water for all, sound security network, industrialization, infrastructural development, employment generation, agriculture and investment.
He solicited with Anambra people to support his ambition, stating that only MPPP has what it takes to take Anambra State to the land of glory.
“We have people-friendly manifesto and programmes which if implemented, would benefit the state more than what any other government, past and present, had offered”, he said; adding that, “APC cannot win governorship election in Anambra State; PDP has not yet put its house in order as to stand for and win the forthcoming election in Anambra. APGA is already dead by reason of leadership crisis rocking it. By the time I take over after November 2017 election, APGA will be completely dead because its grip is limited to Anambra”.
Igwe Ojukwu, who was the immediate past Assistant National Secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), said if elected under MPPP, he would sustain the tempo of sound security in Anambra and go further to improve on it.
In his remark during the function, the Anambra State chairman of the party, Evangelist Simon Anidike, told the gathering that HRM Igwe Chukwuma Angus Ojukwu, (Ezeudo II of Awka-Etiti) is eminently qualified and well-equipped to govern Anambra State. He urged eligible voters to get their voter cards intact to enable them enthrone credible governor in Anambra State come November 18, 2017.
