Plans to deny Obiano 2nd term thickens as APGA NEC disowns Agbaso ...Says he is a stranger, impostor to the party

www.odogwublog.com reports that the embattled National Executive council members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has unanimously agreed to distance itself from the purported leadership of  Chief Martin Agbaso who they described as a stranger and impostor in APGA.

The council, after a three hour closed door meeting held in Awka, noted that Agbaso had never in his life participated in any APGA convention, wondering how he will assume the leadership of a party he never participated in its convention.

In the meeting that saw the six national vice chairmen from the six geo-political zones, 36 states chairmen and other stakeholders in attendance, was presided over by the embattled national chairman of the party, Chief Victor Ike Oye.
The team where later conducted round Obiano’s projects in the state including the Delfarm limited at Igbariam , the Omambala river bridge, adjudged to be the longest bridge in Anambra state, the Agulu lake hotels and Resort project, being managed by the Golden Tulip, the Stine industries limited, producers of Anambtra rice among other projects.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the national secretary of the party, Mr. Labaran Mako said that what is happening in APGA is not about the national leadership of APGA but some persons who want to destabilise Gov. Willie Obiano in the November 18 governorship election.
Recall that an Enugu High Court presided over by Justice A.R Ozoemena on May 22, 2017, ordered the removal of the national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Oye and replaced him with Chief Martin Agbaso.
The judge also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to stop further dealings with Oye.
Maku, who refused to comment on the court ruling and their plan to upturn the ruling through a higher court, rather said that “Oye was elected in a well organized convention duly monitored by the INEC and other agencies”, adding that there was no time  Agbaso contested for national chairman of the party.

“What is happening in APGA is not party leadership but target at Governor Willie Obiano by some people who see his heroic performance as a threat.

“He pays salaries as and when do while other states are owing their workers including my home state, Nassarawa and that was why some elements teamed up and went to court to destabilize him. The transformation in Anambra through APGA leadership, is an indication that APGA can transform Nigeria.

“Agbaso operates in a Sanbisa forest of the social media. He is invisible in APGA. INEC goes to witness conventions that bring in party leaders, Agbaso should tell us the INEC and other agencies that witnessed the convention that brought him in” he said.

On his part, the Imo state chairman of APGA, Mr. Peter Ezeobi said that Agbaso left APGA since 2014 when he contested for Imo state governorship election under Peoples Democratic party (PDP) where he was alleged to have secured only one vote.

“Agbaso connived with Governor Rochas Okorocha to sell our image, so in Imo, we don’t know him and he is not our member. Even if he wants to come back now, we won’t accept him”
