Ifeanyi Ubah's release: Ohaneze Youth demands apology from DSS

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Ohaneze Youth Council has demanded an reserved public apology from the Directorate of State Services (DSS) over illegal arrest and detention of the Chairman, CEO of Capital Oil and Gas, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah.

The secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the group who is equally the publisher of Universe Newspapers, Mazi Okwu Okwu made this call yesterday during an interaction with Authority Daily in his Ukpor, Nnewi South local government area residence.

Mazi Okwu thanked God for the release of the oil chief who he described as 'Ijele-Odenigbo'  because of his business acumen and astute politicking as well as resourcefulness which according to him has made Chief Ubah more of an institution than a person.     

The publisher said he was not surprised that the philanthropist of repute was eventually released unconditionally after no case was established against him.

"While we are grateful for that, we demand that DSS should also render public apology to him in other to inform the unsuspecting reading public who knew about the condemnation before trial disposition of DSS now that he has gotten a clean bill after their investigation was completed.

"If this is done, it will help clear some doubts created about the person and personality of Chief Ubah because of his many business interest in and outside the country which has made him a champion of African Economic nationalism.

Mazi Okwu noted that over one hundred thousand individuals, Nigerians and foreigners alike are directly making their livelihood in his business empire.

"His investment into football and the novel project of an industrial park cum games village that comprises hospital, international linguistic center, warehouse, stadia and cultural center at Nnewi-Ozubulu is unprecedented and when completed is capable of promoting talent discovery.

The secretary, OYC Board of Trustees said that over six thousand persons would again would be making their livelihood from the Ifeanyi Ubah International games village, a status which according to must accord some respect to his person.

"Like I said before, the apology will help to alley the fears of those who were taken aback with the plan by DSS and their sponsors to tarnish the image of Chief Ubah who by all standard is a great manager of man and human resources.

"He broke NUPENG strike on two occasions when he would not be part of the sabotage against the fatherland or fold his hands while Nigerians suffer because some people want higher profit.

Mazi Okwu however urged the chairman, CEO of Capital Oil and Gas to go to court to seek redress should the DSS fail to publicly apologize to him.

In his own comment, the Managing Director of BANQUO Global Agency Ltd. Hon Nnamdi Udeaja(KSC) while condemning the arrest and detention of Chief Ifeanyi Ubah said that his unconditional release was a welcome development.

Hon Udeaja pointed out that Chief Ubah is one man riot squad who can not be cowed by any conspiracy and gang up against noting that the DSS has met a wrong customer in the person of the Nnewi Oil Sweet merchant.

He said that Chief Ubah can never be guilty of any of the allegations leveled against him because the Chairman, CEO of Capital Oil Gas because he is a decent man who believes in due process and that the deal with NNPC was not really the reason for his incarceration.

Hon Udeaja alleged that the whole issue of arrest and detention was politically motivated because it is an open secret that the ruling political party in Abuja and Anambra are afraid of him, especially now that governorship election is at hand in the state.

The MD of BANQUO Global Agency said that there would be a drastic wind of change in the state as soon as Chief Ubah throws his hat into the ring for the guber polls.

"He is a moving train and the truth is that Anambra state needs him now more than ever, the big shoe left behind by Mr Peter Obi is obviously too big for the incumbent governor Chief Willie Obiano, Anambra state is not a small entity, she needs a big personality like Chief Ubah.

Hon Udeaja said with emphasis that the publisher of Authority Newspapers would transform Anambra state in less than a year if he is given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of the state.

He urged Chief Ubah to declare for governorship election noting that he is ready to work for the actualization of the aspiration freely as done before.
