Eid-el-Fitri: Obi felicitates with Muslims

www.odogwublog.com reports that the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi felicitates with Muslims as they celebrate the 2017  Eid-el-Fitri festival,  reminding them  about the  spiritual message which this solemn feast signifies for the entire human society.

Obi said that “the successful conclusion of the Ramadan fast, upon which the Eid-el-Fitri festivity rests, is an apt reminder that human society must be imbued with those values that lead to, and reflect the brilliance of God.”

Speaking further, Obi, who said that as the Eid-el-Fitri celebration underscored love, friendship, brotherliness, charity and generosity, among other values, that Muslims were reminded of the virtues of harmonious co-existence in a diverse society like ours.” His words: “Greatness will come to nations that consciously plan and work for it through consensus and confidence building measures.”

Concluding, Obi submitted: “As we share in the joy and fun of Eid-el-Fitri, let us remember that hard work and discipline are essential to safeguarding the future.  Let us reflect always on the goodness of God which correspondingly demands greater comportment on our part.  To move our country and society forward, we must constantly look inward and toward the almighty Allah.”
