Anambra Commissioner, LG boss commiserates with Eze’s family

www.odogwublog.com reports that the duo of the Anambra state commissioner for youth entrepreneurship and sports development, Dr. Barr (Mrs.) Uju Nwogu and the Transition Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area(IDSLGA), Chief Don Unachukwu recently during the burial of Late Miss Florence Ifeoma  Eze, a staff of the Ministry of Youths Entrepreneurship and Sports development (MYS) expressed the sympathy and deep sense of loss to the family of the deceased, saying that Ifeoma was a good and dedicated staff, who understood the meaning of the word “team”. They said in their separate speeches that youths should emulate her hard work, focus and team spirit as a pancea for delinquent behaviours.
According to Nwogu, “The Governor of Anambra state, the permanent secretary, directors and entire staff of MYS commiserate with the family of Ify Eze. We’re all saddened by this event. I must be honest with you. It saddens us because she was a good staff, intelligent, dedicated to duty, disciplined and a team player. She was always focused on the good of the Ministry than on her own benefit. She made remarkable contributions to the ministry and the state within her stay, not just as a sports officer but as the chess/cricket association secretary”.
Barr (Mrs.) Nwogu urged youths to imbibe and emulate good virtues of hardwork, discipline, fear of God and be focused as they engaged themselves in meaningful ventures, adding that youths form a great percentage of the teaming population of Nigeria.
“Youths form a critical section of our society. They should be focused minded at what they are doing. Be hardworking and meaningfully engaged. Youths should avoid delinquent behaviors and should not allow traffickers in human beings to use them for their nefarious activities,” Nwogu said.
Earlier in his address, during the brief lying in state at the IDSLGC Headquarter Ojoto, Unachukwu said that the few weeks she knew her before her demise was something to write home about, saying that as a MYS staff posted to IDSLGA Ifeoma Eze carried out her functions to the best of her capacity although she did not live long to fulfill all her desires.
The head coach chess association of Anambra state, Mr. Charles Ntefe and the handball coach/ Sports organizing secretary IDSLGA, Mr. Okoye Mmaduka both said they enjoyed good working relationship with late Ifeoma Eze.
“She came newly to work with me and was ready to learn. She was a sincere, hardworking person. Let the family, according to the preacher, thank God in all things” Ntefe said.
“Ifeoma was very talented and more obedient. She carries out her duties without grudges. Anytime I am not in the office, I know someone is there. Her absence will affect me in particular” said Okoye.
Late miss Eze was the last child of Late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Eze from Oba, Idemili south L.G.A. She was employed by Anambra state civil service commission on Dec 31, 2013 as a Sports officer II, a job she loved and enjoyed.
