Akudo unity cup Competition Ora-Eri ends in grand style as sponsor Pharmacist Paul Ezenwa excited

AKUDO UNITY CUP ORA-ERI TOURNEY ENDS IN GRAND STYLE

The final match competition of Akudo unity cup Oraeri, Aguata L.G.A of Anambra state between Obiuno Village Indomitable Lions football club and Obinri Village club-Eri was held @ Community Secondary School field Ora-Eri recently.
Pharmacist Paul Ezenwa sponsor of the competition, who kick started the match urged the players to play friendly games and avoid do or die affairs. The first half of the match was through and no goal was scored from both sides. In the second half of the game, the Obiuno Indomitable Lion’s football club made marvelous attempt to score but the goal keeper of Obinri’s Village football club challenged them and gradually moved the ball down to the opponent’s goal post but unfortunately it was played over the bar.
The encounter continued after a shot out by No 2 player of the indomitable Lion’s football club of Obiuno. As faith had it, they gradually controlled the ball down to Obinri Village FC. Goal post. They made tireless efforts and the Obinri F C football club prevented them not to score. Suddenly their centre forward man took the ball and passed the ball to No 7 man who later returned the ball back to him, without wasting time he played the ball directly to the goal mouth of Obinri FC and the referee’s whistle was blow. It was a clear goal by the indomitable lion FC. of Obiuno against Obinri Village FC.That brought the encounter to an end. Earlier in his remark the President of Cyprain Abanofor Foundation cup Ora-eri Chief Cyprain Abanofor (Umeorimiri) extold Pharmacist Paul Ezenwa for his initiative. He described his effort as very Laudable and expressed delight that the gesture has given our citizens sense of belonging.
Chief Abanofor prayed God to always continue to bless him seven fold and urged  other interested privileged citizens to invest in such area to enable us elevate and improve the image of soccer in the town.
Presenting the trophy to the winner the sponsor Pharmacist Paul Ezenwa “AKUDO” said according to the first speaker “Eze Obianumba\ Umeorimiri he was happy to be at the event. He disclosed that his aim of sponsoring the competition is for interest of peace and interaction.
He assumed that as it was this time next encounter will be greater. Pharmacist Ezenwa thanked both teams for their discipline behavior. He noted that sports create joy, recreation, interaction and tourism potentials. He noted that one who failed this time can win in next encounter and urged all to regard each other as partners in progress.
Pharmacist Ezenwa thanked all the spectators, the organizing committee and many VIPs for their maximum cooperation and wished all save journey back to their respective homes and best of the season.
In his remark the General Chairman Ora-Eri Development Union Nze Okey Atueyi assured that he will use every opportunity in his disposal to embrace soccer in the town. He thanked the sponsor Pharmacist Paul Ezenwa for his kind gesture and spirit of sportsmanship. He disclosed that he had discussed with the sponsor “AKUDO” that Ora-Eri Football Association (OFA) will  re-organize the teams to fetch out skilled players who can engaged in outside encounters.
The Chairman Obinri Village meeting Nze Mezie Obiora also commended the sponsor Pharamacist Paul Ezenwa for his patriotism and thanked the guests and spectators for their large turnout. In his remark the President of Cyprain Abanafor foundation cup- Chief Cyprain Abanofor emphasized that new ideals are coming up and expressed delight that the new present administration (ODU) will boost and improve image of soccer in the town and urged all to contribute towards realizing the objectives.
Mr Alex Onyekwelu Patron of Ora Eri Football Association said we shall play supper 2 and urged both teams to prepare well.
The former General Chairman of Ora- Eri Development union Nze I.G Ilo stressed need for lasting peace in the town. He emphasized that he had been seeking for peace and that was why he honorably stepped down for his successor Nze okey Atueyi. He wished him a peaceful tenure in office.
Briefing Journalists Mr. Ogochukwu Okafor Vice Chairman (OFA) Ora-Eri football Association said the (ODU) Ora-Eri Development union will endeavour to project image of the town through the media to carry all along. He commended our correspondent for his untiring efforts toward balance rural news reporting of events. Mr Okafor however recalled that a good prophet is not acknowledged in his father land. He urged ODU to value what we have and rise up to our challenges. The indomitable Lions of Obiuno jubilantly carried their trophy and sang around the field. While the Obinri Village F.C. clinched the second position. The event was rounded up with prayer said by the MC. Mr. Ekene Oraekwe, who prayed to God to lead everybody safely home……..
