Okorocha weeps for bad press, complains to journalists in Owerre

www.odogwublog.com reports that as the nation marks Democracy day, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has declared that he is the best Governor the State has produced just as he complained about the negativity and low reportage of news reports emanating from Journalists in Imo.
Okorocha made the disclosure during a pre-democracy day briefing at the new Governors' lodge in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The Governor expressed pains over what he described as low reportage of his achievements and events by Journalists in Imo State.
According to him, "l have done better than all the past Imo Governors put together but yet you people always report negative things and l ask why?"
He queried why Journalists derive joy in denigrating his person saying "if you bring me down, what will you gain. Please help me, let us build our State and people".
Okorocha who reeled out his achievements to include opening up access roads in the state, funding free education, provision of security, employment, amongst many other things.
He stated that he has constructed over 2000 projects which he noted are in use but are not commissioned.
The Governor said plans are underway to remodel the State Secretariat premises into a state College of Education.
According to him, apart from the Ministries of Health, Information, and Education, the other ministries will be moved into the different local governments, saying it will bring development into rural areas.
On the clamour for zoning in the state, Governor Okorocha said those clamouring for it are "educated illiterates, and uninformed people", saying it breeds mediocrity.
