Hon Chris Azubogu gives 150 graduates empowerment training in Nnewi

www.odogwublog.com reports that one hundred and fifty unemployed graduates have been trained on technical knowledge and skills that would make them employable and as well become employers of labour.

The pilot training program which held at National Engineering Design Development Institute(NEDDI) Nnewi, Anambra state was facilitated by the lawmaker representing Nnewi North and South as well as Ekwusigo local government areas in the House of Representatives, Hon Chris Azubogu.

The lawmaker speaking during the passing out of the graduate trainees said that he decided to facilitate the empowerment program so as to make the youths drawn from the three local government that constitute his constituency to be useful to themselves and the society at large.

He recalled how he had to think out of the box and getting further training after graduating as an engineer to become employer of labour.

Hon Azubogu pointed out that the fundamental empowerment training would be instrumental to the graduates in adapting and conquering their environment by producing items that are really needed by the populace.

The lawmaker expressed his commitment toward empowering the training institute to empower manufacturers, industrialists and youths in the areas which according to him was the primary purpose for which NEDDI was set up in Nnewi.

Hon Azubogu reassured his constituents that such trainings would be on regular basis to capture those that were not captured in the pilot scheme.

In his speech, the Managing Director of NEDDI Dr Arinze Nwosu noted that the trainees got trained on 2D-3D drawing, welding and fabrication, electrical/electronics repairs and installation, metal foundry, engineering design softwares, ICT and financial management among others.

Dr Nwosu urged the beneficiaries to be commitment and passionate about their chosen careers noting that with determination, success would surely crown their efforts.

Eminent personalities like Igwe Dr KON Orizu 111, Igwe Dr Felix Onyimadu and other graced the occasion that was chaired by Mr Echezona Etiaba.
