Enugu Corps members honour Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi for Works on Charity

www.odogwublog.com reports that the members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Enugu State have honoured the wife of Enugu state governor, Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi, with an award for her numerous works on charity.

The corp members said they considered Mrs Ugwuanyi fit for the award in recognition of her empowerment projects/programmes to humanity dispensed through her pet project,'Ugo Touch of Life Foundation[ U--TOLF ]. The award ceremony took place at the late Michael Okpara Square, Enugu,
during the monthly prayer rally usually  organized by Mrs Ugwuanyi.

Speaking while conferring the award, the spokesperson of the corps
members, Miss Evelyn Nkpume said Mrs Ugwuanyi, the Enugu  first lady has often used her privileged position to enhance the welfare of vulnerable groups,
especially women and children.

"Our mummy, you have demonstrated your milk of human kindness to us.
The youth, mothers and children all have something good to say about
you. That prompted us, the NYSC members, to honour you this day with
the award which you truly deserve,” she stated.

Responding, Mrs. Ugwuanyi highlighted the importance of prayers and
enjoined participants at the event to always be prayerful.

“Anytime you wake up in the morning, ask God for direction, listen to
him and act as He directs. I assure you that prayers work,” she said,
imploring the people to always pray for Enugu State and the present
administration.

She used the occasion to distribute some sewing machines to
beneficiaries of her training project and advised the graduates to
endeavour to train others.
